There is a brief information here about my
heritage, belief, value, and my family. My name is Blessing
Foluso Adeoye. I was born in Nigeria to Chief and Mrs. Adeoye. I
am from a large family (Obala's compound). My grandfather was
Chief Obala of Imesi-Ile and my great uncle was the past Obala
of Imesi-Ile (Obala means the highest king) and my father was
the Baba-Isale - the chairman of all Christian bodies in the
town. My father and his brothers introduced Christianity
to my town about 100 years ago. I am married to Florence Funlola
and we are blessed with four children - Treslyn, Bukky, Tola,
and Funso.
| Pastor Funso Adeoye
Funso is derived from Olufunso which
means "God gave me to watch." This boy is named after
me ; he is a true blessing. He is
very energetic at home; he thinks he's in charge. He sings very
well. He is a wonderful young man. Recently, he told
me he is a pastor. He preached his first sermon at
11 yrs old in Nigeria in 2005.

Treslyn Adeoye
(aka preacher girl)
This name is unique and special. It means
blessings to us. We could not find anyone named Treslyn before
this child was born. Treslyn is precious, beautiful, and
obedient. I cannot trade her for anything (maybe a husband one
day!.

Adetola Adeoye
Tola is a short for Adetola, which
means "God is to be honored". Ade means crown and my
crown is God. Tola is another character; she is like a
combination of her sisters. She is a precious and wonderful
girl.

Michele Adebukola Adeoye
Bukky is
short for Adebukola which means "God added to my
wealth". Bukky is beautiful, very smart, and sensitive. She
is a type of child that every parent dreams about. She is always
sensitive and when she thinks I am not happy, she finds a way to
bring happiness and laughter.

It is true that for every
successful man there is a woman behind the success. With me, God
has provided Funlola as the woman. Funlola means "God gave
me wealth." She is a wonderful lady. Her grandfather was
Chief Odofin of Imesi-Ile. Chief Odofin is the third in command
to the king of the town. Actually, without Odofin, a new king
cannot be installed in our town.
